Honour The Father
This is one our fundraisers coming up in June. We do so much for mother's day and not a lot for the fathers. In a prison stat that I read, when handing out cards to inmates for special occasions 90% of mothers day cards were taken and only 5% of the father's day ones were used. We all love our moms!!! For the most part, the fathers of the addicts we serve at the Dhouse, were never present or, if they were, were abusive. On June 16 we would like to honor our fathers, but most of all the Father that I'm introducing these men to, Father God, the one father that will give us true love and never disappoint us. I have asked one of our men to share his testimony that night. He has been separated from his wife for the last couple of years. They have a 5-year-old son who he hasn't seen a whole lot of due to his addiction. In the last couple of months, though, she has given him permission to spend Saturdays with their son. He is beginning to rebuild trust and a relationship with them, all because he is letting his true father, father him. AMEN.

Jericho Road at V.C.C.
Check out this link. This was on mothers day at our church, Vanier Community as we were asked to take the service and share about our ministry at Jericho Road. We did our 'cardboard' testimonies at the end with 25 of our guy's. Unfortunately there was a problem with the camera at the end of my talk and they didn't get the cardboard testimonies. We are going to do it again and hopefuly we will get the whole thing.
Enjoy.

Coldest Night of the Year
At Jericho Road, as some know, we did a fund raiser a little while back called the 'Coldest Night of the Year'. It was a great success and around 120 people came out for the 5km walk in support for awareness of homelessness. Our goal was $20 000 and we past that by a long shot, around $30 000. Thanks to every one who supported us by walking and donating. Here is a video our friend Tony took. Check it out on this link.

starting at 11 mins 21 secs into the show.
This whole operation was organized with military
precision. As an ex sailor I appreciate that. It wade fundraising
easy and fun. My team members want to be part of it again next year.
Brian you did a totally amazing job of friendly help and
coordination.
